Bali–Vāsava Dialogue on Kāla and Steadfastness

दमस्तेजो वर्धयति पवित्र दम उच्यते । विपाप्मा निर्भयो दान्त: पुरुषो विन्दते महत्‌

damaḥ tejo vardhayati pavitraḥ dama ucyate | vipāpmā nirbhayo dāntaḥ puruṣo vindate mahat ||

ဘိဿမက ပြောသည်– «‘ဒမ’ သည် အတွင်းတောက်ပမှုနှင့် အင်အား (တေဇ) ကို တိုးပွားစေသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် ဒမကို အလွန်သန့်ရှင်းစေသော အရာဟု ခေါ်ကြသည်။ စိတ်နှင့် အင်္ဂါရုံတို့ကို အနိုင်ယူထားသူသည် အပြစ်နှင့် ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းမှ လွတ်ကင်းကာ ‘မဟတ်’—အမြင့်မြတ်သော အခြေအနေကို ရရှိသည်။»
