सहदेवद्न मे पुत्र: सदावेक्ष्यो वने वसन् । यथेदं व्यसन प्राप्प नायं सीदेन्महामति:
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | sahadevaṃ me putraḥ sadāvekṣyo vane vasan | yathedaṃ vyasanaṃ prāpya nāyaṃ sīden mahāmatiḥ ||
«သမီးရေ၊ တောထဲတွင် နေထိုင်စဉ် ငါ့သား စဟဒေဝကို အမြဲတမ်း စောင့်ရှောက်ကြည့်ရှုပါလော့။ ဤအကြီးမားသော ဘေးဒုက္ခထဲ ကျရောက်သော်လည်း ထိုမဟာဉာဏ်ရှိသူသည် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်း၌ မနစ်မြုပ်စေရန်ပင်»။
