तेषां तदभवद् युद्ध दशाहानि महात्मनाम् | कुरूणां पाण्डवानां च सुमहल्लोमहर्षणम्,उन महामनस्वी कौरवों और पाण्डवोंमें दस दिनोंतक महान् रोमांचकारी युद्ध हुआ
teṣāṃ tad abhavad yuddhaṃ daśāhāni mahātmanām | kurūṇāṃ pāṇḍavānāṃ ca sumahallomaharṣaṇam ||
ဝါသုဒေဝ မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «ထို့နောက် မဟာစိတ်ရှိသော သူရဲကောင်းတို့အကြား၌ ကုရုတို့နှင့် ပाण्डဝတို့ကြား စစ်ပွဲကြီးတစ်ရပ် ဖြစ်ပွား၍ ဆယ်ရက်တိုင်တိုင် ဆက်လက်ခဲ့သည်—အလွန်ကြီးမား၍ ကြောက်ရွံ့တုန်လှုပ်စေသော တိုက်ပွဲဖြစ်ကာ အကြမ်းဖက်မှု၏ အရွယ်အစားကြောင့် အံ့ဩခြင်းနှင့် ကြောက်မက်ခြင်းကို တပြိုင်နက် လှုံ့ဆော်၏။»
