उपाकर्मणि चोत्सर्गे त्रिरात्रं क्षपणं स्मृतम् / अष्टकासु त्वहोरात्रं ऋत्वन्त्यासु च रात्रिषु
upākarmaṇi cotsarge trirātraṃ kṣapaṇaṃ smṛtam / aṣṭakāsu tvahorātraṃ ṛtvantyāsu ca rātriṣu
Upākarman နှင့် Utsarga ပွဲတော်များအတွက် အပြစ်သန့်စင်ခြင်း (kṣapaṇa) ကို သုံးညတိုင်တိုင် ကျင့်သုံးရမည်ဟု ဆိုထားသည်။ Aṣṭakā နေ့များတွင် တစ်နေ့တစ်ည ပြည့်စုံစွာ ထိန်းသိမ်းရမည်။ ရာသီအဆုံးသတ်ညများတွင်လည်း ထိုညများ၌ပင် စောင့်ထိန်းရမည်။
