Sūta (narrator) recounting the Purāṇic genealogy in the Kurma Purana
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
This verse is genealogical rather than metaphysical; it frames dharmic kingship and progeny within the Purāṇic order, a backdrop against which later teachings on Self and liberation are taught.
No specific yoga practice is taught in this line; it belongs to the dynastic narrative that precedes the Kurma Purana’s later, more explicit yoga and Pāśupata-oriented instructions.
It does not directly address Śiva–Viṣṇu unity; it supports the Purāṇic framework of cosmic and royal lineage within which the text later presents its Shaiva–Vaishnava synthesis.
