FAQs

It conveys a nīti/rajadharma detail: how the king is visually identified in a formal procession—mounted on a powerful elephant—with the structured presence of a retinue and other followers.

Beyond theology, it preserves practical cultural-political description (courtly display, markers of sovereignty, organization of attendants), reflecting the Purana’s wide coverage of governance and social order.

By emphasizing orderly kingship and recognized sovereignty, it aligns with dharmic governance: social stability under a rightful ruler is treated as a dharma-supporting condition that sustains merit and public welfare.
