Related Themes: Agni Purana 259 (Mantra-vidhi: rakṣā/jaya mantras)
It teaches a practical rakṣā-mantra application: a short Agni-linked utterance (‘ayatno ’gnir’) intended for protection from hostile forces and for securing victory during battle.
Alongside theology and rites, the Agni Purana catalogs applied techniques—here, battlefield-protection and victory-oriented mantra-prayoga—showing its coverage of pragmatic domains like defense, success rites, and protective liturgy.
By invoking Agni as purifying power, the practitioner seeks both external protection and inner fortitude; the promised results—fame and victory—are framed as fruits of disciplined recitation and alignment with dharmic, purificatory fire-energy.
