Related Themes: Agni Purana (Pūjā-vidhi/ācāra-śauca sections contiguous to this passage)
It teaches śakuna-lakṣaṇa—reading auspicious bodily actions—specifically favorable signs involving stepping (right over left) and right-side dental cleaning.
Alongside theology and worship, the Agni Purana also preserves practical āgamic/folk-ritual knowledge on daily conduct and omens, showing its wide-ranging, handbook-like scope.
Following auspicious bodily observances is treated as aligning one’s actions with śubha (favorable) indications, supporting purity of conduct and success in intended rites or undertakings.
