FAQs

It gives an abhiṣeka-prayoga: invoking specific classes of ritual fires (Kravyāda, Upahūta, Ājyapā, Sukālin) to ‘sprinkle/consecrate’ the intended recipient, paired with an auspicious invocation of Lakṣmī and dharma-aligned powers.

It preserves specialized ritual taxonomy—named categories of Agni used as operative forces in consecration—showing the text’s manual-like coverage of applied liturgy (mantra, abhiṣeka, and protective invocations) alongside its wider subjects.

Consecration through Agni is framed as dharma-supporting purification and empowerment; invoking Lakṣmī ‘and others’ links the rite to auspiciousness, stability, and merit that supports righteous living and ritual success.
