It prescribes a quantified remedial procedure using ghṛta (ghee) mixed with javā (hibiscus), framed as a graha-doṣa (planetary affliction) alleviation and as a Vināyaka-related obstacle-pacifying measure—implying use as counted oblations or a measured preparation.
The verse exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical compendium style: it merges Jyotiṣa-based problem categories (graha-doṣa) with ritual-therapeutic countermeasures (ghee + herb/flower admixture, specified counts), showing how the text catalogues actionable remedies alongside theology.
By prescribing a śānti-oriented remedy for graha-doṣa and Vināyaka-ārtī, it frames misfortune as ritually addressable and promotes purification and obstacle-removal through disciplined, counted devotional practice involving sacred offerings.
