FAQs

It provides stotra-style nāma (epithet) recitation for Devi-upāsanā: invoking the Goddess as world-protectress and giver of all siddhis, a practical formula used for protection and attainment of desired accomplishments.

Alongside ritual manuals, dharma, polity, and other sciences, the Agni Purana preserves applied devotional technology—name-hymns and epithets used in worship—showing how spiritual practices were systematized as repeatable methods for results (rakṣā and siddhi).

Reciting and contemplating these epithets aligns the devotee with Śrī/Devī as protector and benefactress, traditionally held to remove obstacles, generate auspicious merit, and support success through divine grace.
