It teaches regulated household hospitality (offering clothing, food, and drink, and lodging nearby) and emphasizes that Sāvitrī/Gāyatrī-japa must be performed strictly according to prescribed ritual procedure (yathāvidhi), not casually or incorrectly.
Alongside theology and myths, the Agni Purana also preserves practical dharma and domestic ritual norms—covering etiquette of support for dvijas and precise mantra-discipline—showing its coverage of lived religious law and daily observance.
Proper hospitality supports dharmic merit (puṇya) through service and giving, while correct Sāvitrī recitation preserves mantra-śakti and purity of practice; both are presented as safeguards of right conduct and spiritual efficacy.
