တစ်နှစ်ကျော်လွန်သွားလျှင် ရေသည် ထိမိခြင်းသာဖြင့်ပင် သန့်စင်လာသည်။ သေဆုံးမှု (mṛtaka) ဖြစ်လျှင် မသန့်ကာလ သုံးရက်ရှိသည်ဟု ‘gha, ṅa, ña’ စာမူများက ဆိုကြသည်။ မိခင်ဘက်ဆွေမျိုးသေဆုံးမှု (mātaka) တွင်လည်း ထိုနည်းတူဟု ‘jha’ စာမူက ဆိုသည်။ ရေချိုးရမည်ဟု ‘kha, ga, gha, ṅa, cha, ja’ စာမူများက ပြောသည်။ မိခင်ဘက်ဦးလေး (mātula)၊ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကိစ္စ ဆောင်ရွက်သူ (pakṣin)၊ တပည့်၊ ပူဇော်ရေးရာ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်နှင့် ဆွေမျိုးတို့တွင် မသန့်ကာလသည် တစ်ညသာ ဖြစ်သည်။
