Related Themes: Agni Purāṇa 154 (Jyotiḥśāstra: lagna/aṃśa and bhāva-phala rules); Agni Purāṇa 155 (Ācāra: daily timing and purity—muhūrta sensibility)
This verse conveys Jyotiḥśāstra (horoscopic technique): it classifies a lagna/aṃśaka as “mānuṣa” and states that this category yields auspicious results when situated in specified houses (3, 6, 10, 11, and 8).
By giving compact, rule-like statements used in chart interpretation (classification of ascendants/divisional portions and their house-based outcomes), it shows the Agni Purana’s inclusion of practical predictive astrology alongside ritual, dharma, and other sciences.
While primarily technical, it implies that favorable karmic outcomes (śubha-phala) are indicated when the ‘mānuṣa’ classification aligns with certain life-areas (houses), guiding ethical planning and remedial religious conduct in a traditional Jyotiḥśāstra framework.
