FAQs

It supplies a compact list of divine names/epithets and indicates a specific naivedya (kṛśara offering) connected with Candra, useful for mantra-japa, devatā-smaraṇa, and ritual/astrological worship contexts.

Rather than narrative, it functions as a reference-style register: it compiles deity-names (Siddhi, Ṛddhi, Śānti, Rohiṇī), cosmological markers (directional powers), and a practical ritual detail (food offering), exemplifying the Agni Purana’s cross-disciplinary cataloging.

Remembering and worshipping these deities—especially Candra with an appropriate offering—is framed in Puranic practice as promoting śānti (pacification), ṛddhi (increase), and siddhi (successful completion of vows/rites), thereby supporting auspiciousness and mental steadiness.
