FAQs

It teaches an Ayurvedic seasonal regimen: in vasanta (spring), a honey-based pratipāna (post-drink) using priyaṅgu, pippalī, lodhra, and yaṣṭyāhva is recommended to reduce Kapha.

Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana compiles practical sciences; here it preserves ritucaryā (seasonal medicine) and pharmacological guidance (drug selection and vehicle like honey) as part of its broad knowledge-system.

By maintaining bodily balance through dhārmic self-care (appropriate seasonal conduct), one supports purity, steadiness in worship and duties, and reduces tamasic heaviness associated with Kapha imbalance.
