Ayurvedic medhya-prayoga: a morning drink for children using yaṣṭimadhu (licorice) with saindhava (rock-salt), and related medhya tonic ingredients like devadāru, śigru, triphalā, and payomucā.
It shows the Agni Purana functioning as a practical compendium—alongside theology and ritual, it preserves applied medical guidance (Ayurveda), including pediatric and cognition-focused formulations.
By supporting medhā (clarity of intellect and memory), the teaching aligns with dharmic living—enabling study, mantra-recollection, and disciplined conduct—thus indirectly aiding merit through improved capacity for sacred learning and right action.
