Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Tantra","practical_application":"Devata-archana for siddhi: propitiate Garuḍa/Indra-class deities for desired results; perform Viśvaksena worship with bīja-dhyāna placed in ‘vyoma’ (inner/outer sky-space) for protection and accomplishment.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Viśvaksena-bīja worship in vyoma; propitiation of Garuḍa and Indra groups for kāma-siddhi","lookup_keywords":["Viśvaksena","bīja","vyoma","Garuḍa","Indra"],"quick_summary":"The text prescribes a results-oriented worship: by honoring Garuḍa and Indra groups one gains desired aims, and specifically one should worship Viśvaksena with bīja-meditation established in the sky/space principle (vyoma)."}

Concept: Siddhi arises from correctly targeted devatā-upāsanā and bīja-dhyāna, with spatial placement (vyoma) as a key contemplative operator.

Application: In ritual practice, assign deities to functions (boon-granting, protection, command) and stabilize mantra-power through bīja visualization in a defined ‘space’ (outer sky or inner ākāśa).

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi (Mantra-japa and Devata-archana for Siddhi)

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

FAQs

It teaches a practical upāsanā method: invoking and worshiping Viśvaksena by name and employing a bīja-mantra with “vyoma” (ether/sky) visualization to accomplish desired aims.

It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s ritual-technology layer—compact instructions on deity-worship, mantra usage, and visualization—alongside its many other domains (dharma, polity, medicine, arts), showing its breadth as a compendium.

The verse links disciplined worship (yajana) and mantra-focused contemplation to the fulfillment of intentions (kāma-siddhi), presenting devotion and correct ritual method as means to merit, protection, and goal-attainment.
