पवित्रं च पवित्राणां पुष्टीनां पुष्टिरेव च ॥ तस्मात्पुरस्तु दातव्यं गवां वै मेध्यकारणात् ॥
pavitraṃ ca pavitrāṇāṃ puṣṭīnāṃ puṣṭir eva ca || tasmāt puras tu dātavyaṃ gavāṃ vai medhyakāraṇāt ||
Ini ialah penyuci yang tertinggi antara segala yang suci, dan benar-benar menjadi pemelihara antara segala yang memelihara. Oleh itu, demi sebab kemurnian ritual (medhya), hendaklah diadakan sedekah lembu menurut tatacara yang wajar, dengan mempersembahkannya di hadapan.
