Description of Infernal Punishments and the Ripening of Karmic Consequences

अदानव्रतिनो विप्रा वेदविक्रयिणस्तथा ॥ सर्वकर्माणि कुर्युर्हि दीयते न च किञ्चन

adānavratino viprā vedavikrayiṇas tathā || sarvakarmāṇi kuryur hi dīyate na ca kiñcana

Wahai para Brahmana: mereka yang bernazar tidak memberi, dan juga mereka yang memperdagangkan Weda—walaupun melakukan segala upacara, hakikatnya tiada apa pun yang benar-benar didermakan.
