Varaha Purana 192.18 — Adhyaya 192, Shloka 18

Description of the Universal Peace-Recitation and the Madhuparka Rite

सर्पिर्दधिमधून्येव समं पात्रे ह्युदुम्बरे ।। अलाभे मधुनश्चापि गुडेन सह मिश्रयेत् ॥

sarpir-dadhi-madhūny eva samaṁ pātre hy udumbare || alābhe madhunaś cāpi guḍena saha miśrayet ||

Ghee, dadih dan madu hendaklah diletakkan dengan sukatan yang sama di dalam bekas daripada kayu udumbara; jika madu tiada, bolehlah dicampurkan bersama gula melaka (jaggery) sebagai ganti.
