Section on the Origin and Procedure of Piṇḍa-Rites and Śrāddha: Rules of Mourning Impurity

ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिमध्ये तु यो दद्यात्प्रेतभोजनम् ॥ हृष्टेन मनसा विप्रे प्रेतभागं विशेषतः ॥

jñātisambandhimadhye tu yo dadyāt pretabhojanam || hṛṣṭena manasā vipre pretabhāgaṃ viśeṣataḥ ||

Namun dalam kalangan kaum kerabat dan saudara-mara, sesiapa yang memberikan makanan untuk roh yang telah berpulang—wahai brāhmaṇa—dengan hati gembira, mempersembahkan khususnya bahagian yang diperuntukkan bagi roh itu.
