Section on the Origin and Procedure of Piṇḍa-Rites and Śrāddha: Rules of Mourning Impurity

Aśauca

हस्तशौचं पुनः कृत्वा ह्युपस्पृश्य यथाविधि ॥ समन्त्रं प्रतिगृह्णाति पक्वान्नं भक्ष्यभोजनम् ॥

hastaśaucaṁ punaḥ kṛtvā hy upaspṛśya yathāvidhi || samantraṁ pratigṛhṇāti pakvānnaṁ bhakṣyabhojanam ||

Setelah menyucikan tangan sekali lagi dan menyentuh air (ācaman) menurut ketetapan, dia menerima dengan mantra makanan yang telah dimasak—baik yang boleh dikunyah mahupun hidangan untuk dimakan.
