Determination of the Origin and Procedure of the Ancestral Offering

Pitṛyajña/Śrāddha

कर्मणा मनसा वाचा पितरं शरणं गतः ॥ ततोऽतिचिन्तयामास वंशकर्त्तारमात्मनः ॥

karmaṇā manasā vācā pitaraṁ śaraṇaṁ gataḥ || tato ’ticintayāmāsa vaṁśakarttāram ātmanaḥ ||

Dengan perbuatan, fikiran dan kata-kata, dia berlindung kepada ayahandanya. Kemudian dia merenung sedalam-dalamnya tentang pengasas keturunannya sendiri.
