प्रेताः ऊचुः ॥ ये एतत्कर्म कुर्वन्ति मूढा अधर्मपरायणाः ॥ विरुद्धकारिणः पापास्तेषां काञ्चिद्गतिं वद ॥
pretā ūcuḥ || ye etatkarma kurvanti mūḍhā adharmaparāyaṇāḥ || viruddhakāriṇaḥ pāpās teṣāṃ kāñcid gatiṃ vada ||
Para preta berkata: “Orang-orang bodoh yang melakukan perbuatan demikian, berpaut pada adharma, bertindak menentang tata laku benar dan berdosa—katakanlah kepada kami, apakah destinasi yang menanti mereka.”
