FAQs

It marks a structural pivot typical of Purāṇas: moral-etiological narrative leads into a catalog of sacred places, supporting pilgrimage geography and cultural memory.

The verse signals “tatra” (“there”) as the setting for site-description; the explicit place-name appears in the next verse (Dvārakā).

The text shifts from ethical consequence (curse causality) toward cultural heritage instruction: remembering and mapping sacred sites as part of communal tradition.
