प्रायश्चित्तं प्रवक्ष्यामि येन मुच्येत किल्बिषात् ॥ यस्य कस्यचिन्मासस्य शुक्लपक्षस्य द्वादशीम् ॥
prāyaścittaṁ pravakṣyāmi yena mucyeta kilbiṣāt || yasya kasyacin māsasya śuklapakṣasya dvādaśīm
Aku akan menyatakan suatu prāyaścitta (penebusan) yang dengannya seseorang dilepaskan daripada dosa; (laksanakanlah) pada hari Dvādaśī, iaitu hari kedua belas paruh terang (śukla-pakṣa) bagi mana-mana bulan.
