मया प्रोक्तः क्षमस्वेति तुभ्यं चैव नमो नमः ॥ एवं मन्त्रः समाख्यातस्तेनाज्यात्प्रथमं शिरः
mayā proktaḥ kṣamasv eti tubhyaṁ caiva namo namaḥ || evaṁ mantraḥ samākhyātas tenājyāt prathamaṁ śiraḥ
“Telah aku ucapkan: ‘Ampunilah (aku),’ dan kepada-Mu juga, sembah sujud, sembah sujud.” Demikianlah mantra dinyatakan; dengan mantra itu hendaklah terlebih dahulu menyapu ghee pada kepala.
