पयसा यावकेनापि कदाचिद्वायुभक्षणः ॥ कदाचित्षष्ठकालेन क्वचिद्दृष्टमहाफलः ॥

payasā yāvakenāpi kadācid vāyubhakṣaṇaḥ || kadācit ṣaṣṭhakālena kvacid dṛṣṭamahāphalaḥ ||

Kadang-kadang hidup dengan susu, kadang-kadang dengan yavagu (bubur barli); kadang-kadang mengamalkan vayu-bhakshana seolah-olah “memakan angin” (puasa yang sangat keras); kadang-kadang makan hanya pada sela keenam—demikianlah, dalam beberapa keadaan, dikatakan terlihat hasil yang besar.
