गुरोः कर्मणि सोद्योगः सम्यक्प्रीत्युपपादनम् तेनाहूतः पठेच्चैव तत्परो नान्यमानसः

guroḥ karmaṇi sodyogaḥ samyakprītyupapādanam tenāhūtaḥ paṭheccaiva tatparo nānyamānasaḥ

“Dia hendaklah rajin dalam tugas-tugas guru dan dengan wajar menimbulkan keredaan (guru). Apabila dipanggil olehnya, dia juga hendaklah belajar membaca/menyebut, menumpukan diri pada itu sahaja, tanpa memikirkan yang lain.”
