वृथाटनं था दानं वृथा च पशुमारणम् न कर्त्तव्यं गृहस्थेन वृता दारपरिग्रहम्
vṛthāṭanaṃ thā dānaṃ vṛthā ca paśumāraṇam na karttavyaṃ gṛhasthena vṛtā dāraparigraham
Seorang grihastha (ketua rumah tangga) tidak patut melakukan pengembaraan tanpa tujuan, pemberian yang sia-sia, dan pembunuhan haiwan tanpa sebab. Demikian juga, jangan mengambil isteri (memasuki kehidupan berumah tangga) secara main-main atau tanpa pertimbangan.
