आत्मेश्वरजीवः अनात्मनां देहादीनामात्मत्वेनाभिमन्यते सोऽभिमान आत्मनो बन्धः। तन्निवृत्तिर्मोक्षः॥२॥

Padapatha (Word Split)

आत्म-ईश्वर-जीवः । अनात्मनाम् देह-आदीनाम् आत्मत्वेन अभिमन्यते । सः अभिमानः आत्मनः बन्धः । तत्-निवृत्तिः मोक्षः ॥२॥

IAST Transliteration

ātmeśvarajīvaḥ anātmanāṃ dehādīnām ātmatvenābhimanyate so'bhimāna ātmanaḥ bandhaḥ | tannivṛttir mokṣaḥ ||2||

Translation

Diri—sebagai Tuhan dan sebagai jīva—menganggap yang bukan-Diri seperti tubuh dan sebagainya sebagai Diri; pengenalan-diri yang keliru itu (abhimāna) ialah belenggu bagi Diri. Len y apnya itu ialah pembebasan.

Academic Translation

The Self—(as) Lord and individual—conceives the non-Self, such as the body and so on, as the Self; that identification (abhimāna) is the bondage of the Self. The cessation of that is liberation.
