देवा ऊचुः । जय देव जगन्नाथ दैत्यासुरविमर्द्दन । वाराहरूपमास्थाय उद्धृता वसुधा त्वया
devā ūcuḥ | jaya deva jagannātha daityāsuravimarddana | vārāharūpamāsthāya uddhṛtā vasudhā tvayā
Para Deva berkata: “Jaya bagi-Mu, wahai Jagannātha, Penguasa alam, penghancur Daitya dan Asura. Dengan mengambil rupa Varāha (Babi Hutan), Engkau telah mengangkat Bumi.”
Devas
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Jagannātha (Viṣṇu/Nārāyaṇa)
Scene: The Devas, hands folded, praise Jagannātha as Varāha who raises the Earth from the cosmic waters; the Earth appears as Bhū-devī supported on the boar’s tusk, with oceanic swirls and celestial witnesses.
The Lord upholds the world when it sinks—cosmically and morally—so devotees praise him as the restorer of balance.
Prabhāsakṣetra, where the narrative glorifies the Lord’s saving deeds as part of the kṣetra’s sacred remembrance.
Stuti (praise) is exemplified: addressing the deity with epithets and recalling avatāra-deeds.
