ततश्चतुर्द्दशे देवि तपसा नियमेन च । तुष्टेनोक्तो मया देवि वरं वरय सुव्रत

tataścaturddaśe devi tapasā niyamena ca | tuṣṭenokto mayā devi varaṃ varaya suvrata

Kemudian, wahai Devī, pada tahun keempat belas—kerana berkenan dengan tapa dan disiplin dirinya—aku berkata: “Wahai yang berikrar mulia, pohonlah suatu anugerah.”
