ततोऽब्रवीद्विभुर्गंगां पार्श्वतः समुपस्थिताम् । एनं वह्निं महाभागे वेगान्नय महोदधिम् । नान्या शक्ता समानेतुं त्वां विना लोकपावनि
tato'bravīdvibhurgaṃgāṃ pārśvataḥ samupasthitām | enaṃ vahniṃ mahābhāge vegānnaya mahodadhim | nānyā śaktā samānetuṃ tvāṃ vinā lokapāvani
Kemudian Tuhan Yang Maha Berkuasa bersabda kepada Gangga yang berdiri di sisi-Nya: “Wahai yang mulia lagi berbahagia, bawalah api ini dengan segera ke Samudra Agung. Tiada yang lain mampu membawanya ke sana tanpa engkau, wahai penyuci segala alam.”
