tatra snātvā naro bhaktyā yaḥ saṃtarpayate pitṝn | pretatvātpitaro muktā bhavanti śrāddhadāyinaḥ
Di sana, sesiapa yang mandi dengan bhakti lalu mempersembahkan upacara pemuasan kepada para pitṛ (leluhur), maka para leluhurnya dibebaskan daripada keadaan preta dan menjadi penerima yang layak bagi persembahan śrāddha.
