Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 64

ब्राह्मणातिक्रमो नास्ति नाचरेद्यो व्यवस्थितिम् । ज्वलंतमग्निमुत्सृज्य न हि भस्मनि हूयते

brāhmaṇātikramo nāsti nācaredyo vyavasthitim | jvalaṃtamagnimutsṛjya na hi bhasmani hūyate

Tiada ‘melangkaui’ brāhmaṇa, dan janganlah melanggar tatanan yang telah ditetapkan. Kerana setelah meninggalkan api yang sedang menyala, tidaklah orang mempersembahkan oblation ke dalam abu semata-mata.
