अप्राप्ते रजसि गौरी प्राप्ते रजसि रोहिणी । अव्यंजनकृता कन्या कुचहीना तु नग्निका
aprāpte rajasi gaurī prāpte rajasi rohiṇī | avyaṃjanakṛtā kanyā kucahīnā tu nagnikā
Sebelum datang haid, dia disebut “Gaurī”; apabila haid telah bermula, dia disebut “Rohiṇī”. Gadis yang belum menampakkan tanda-tanda kematangan tubuh disebut “Kanyā”; dan yang belum berkembang buah dada disebut “Nagnikā”.
