यावदुत्संगगं कृत्वा शिरोस्य तु महीतले । तावद्ददर्श सावित्री पुरुषं कृष्णपिंगलम्
yāvadutsaṃgagaṃ kṛtvā śirosya tu mahītale | tāvaddadarśa sāvitrī puruṣaṃ kṛṣṇapiṃgalam
Sebaik sahaja dia meletakkan kepala suaminya di pangkuannya di atas tanah, Sāvitrī pun terlihat seorang lelaki berwarna gelap keperangan.
