बांधवेषु चिरं वासो नारीणां न यशस्करः । मनोरथा बांधवानां नार्या भर्तृगृहे स्थितिः

Transliteration

bāṃdhaveṣu ciraṃ vāso nārīṇāṃ na yaśaskaraḥ | manorathā bāṃdhavānāṃ nāryā bhartṛgṛhe sthitiḥ

Translation

Tinggal terlalu lama di kalangan kaum kerabat sendiri bukanlah sesuatu yang menambah kemuliaan bagi wanita. Hasrat para kerabat ialah agar si isteri tetap teguh menetap di rumah suaminya.
