यदेतन्नारदेनोक्तं सत्यमत्र तु किं भवेत् । एवं च श्रूयते लोके चापल्यं स्त्रीषु विद्यते । श्लोकाविमौ पुरा गीतौ चित्तज्ञैर्योषितां द्विजैः

yadetannāradenoktaṃ satyamatra tu kiṃ bhavet | evaṃ ca śrūyate loke cāpalyaṃ strīṣu vidyate | ślokāvimau purā gītau cittajñairyoṣitāṃ dvijaiḥ

“Benarkah apa yang dikatakan Nārada ini? Namun di dunia sering didengar bahawa sifat berubah-ubah terdapat pada wanita. Sesungguhnya, dua rangkap śloka ini dahulu pernah dinyanyikan oleh para brāhmaṇa yang arif, yang memahami hati wanita.”
