नमस्कृत्य च तोयेशं गोमतीं च सरिद्वराम् । अर्घ्यं दद्याद्विधानेन कृत्वा च करयोः कुशान्
namaskṛtya ca toyeśaṃ gomatīṃ ca saridvarām | arghyaṃ dadyādvidhānena kṛtvā ca karayoḥ kuśān
Setelah bersujud kepada Tuhan segala air (Lautan) dan kepada Gomatī, sungai yang termulia, hendaklah seseorang menurut tatacara mempersembahkan arghya, dengan meletakkan rumput kuśa pada kedua-dua tangan.
