Skanda (deduced from Dvārakā Māhātmya narrative convention within Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Gomatī–udadhi-saṅgama (Dvārakā)
Type: sangam
Listener: brāhmaṇas (viprāḥ)
Scene: Pilgrims reside through Māgha on the sandy banks where the Gomatī meets the sea; dawn snāna, small fires for homa, brāhmaṇas giving blessings, and Dvārakā’s temples in the background.
Extended sacred observance (vāsa) at a tīrtha, guided by dharmic community sanction, is said to bring holistic spiritual and worldly completion.
The Gomatī–Ocean confluence (Gomatī-udadhi-saṅgama) associated with Dvārakā.
Spending the full month of Māgha at the confluence as a vrata-like observance, undertaken with brāhmaṇas’ consent.
