तामसं राजसं वापि यत्कृतं विष्णुपूजनम् । तत्सात्त्विकत्वमभ्येति निम्नगांभो यथार्णवे

tāmasaṃ rājasaṃ vāpi yatkṛtaṃ viṣṇupūjanam | tatsāttvikatvamabhyeti nimnagāṃbho yathārṇave

Walaupun pemujaan kepada Viṣṇu dilakukan dalam sifat tamas atau rajas, ia tetap menjadi sattvik pada kesannya—seperti air sungai yang sampai ke lautan lalu mengambil sifat laut.
