Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 186

कृत्वा वै तीर्थसंन्यासं यतयो विधवाः स्त्रियः । जीवन्मुक्ताः कलौ ज्ञेयाः कुलकोटिसमन्विताः

kṛtvā vai tīrthasaṃnyāsaṃ yatayo vidhavāḥ striyaḥ | jīvanmuktāḥ kalau jñeyāḥ kulakoṭisamanvitāḥ

Para yati (pertapa) dan bahkan wanita balu, setelah melaksanakan saṃnyāsa yang berkaitan dengan tīrtha (tempat suci ziarah), hendaklah diketahui dalam Kali Yuga sebagai jīvanmukta—yang bebas ketika masih hidup—disertai pahala kebajikan bagi keturunan yang tidak terhitung.
