Transliteration

ihārthe ca purā proktaṃ itihāso dvijottamāḥ | pradyumnena susaṃvāde mārkaṇḍena mahātmanā

Translation

Wahai yang terbaik antara kaum dwija, dalam kaitan ini juga, suatu kisah suci purba pernah dinyatakan dahulu—dalam dialog yang amat indah antara Pradyumna dan resi agung Mārkaṇḍeya yang berhati mulia.
