Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 36

विशेषतः प्रदातव्यं तांबूलं कज्जलं तथा । दुकूलानि च देयानि तथा कौसुंभकानि च

viśeṣataḥ pradātavyaṃ tāṃbūlaṃ kajjalaṃ tathā | dukūlāni ca deyāni tathā kausuṃbhakāni ca

Secara khusus, hendaklah diberikan tāmbūla (sirih) dan juga kajjala (celak). Pakaian halus pun patut didermakan, termasuk kain yang dicelup warna kusumbha, yakni warna safron.
