Kemudian Mahādeva, berkenan kepada resi yang berjiwa agung itu, segera membelah gunung tersebut, lalu sebuah liṅga bangkit di hadapannya. Melihatnya, sang muni diliputi rasa takjub lalu melantunkan kidung pujian.
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa)
Tirtha: Arbuda-liṅga (svayambhū at Arbuda-parvata)
Type: cave
Listener: Ṛṣis (Naimiṣāraṇya assembly implied)
Scene: A dramatic moment: Mahādeva’s unseen force cleaves the mountain; from the split rock a radiant liṅga rises. Vasiṣṭha stands with folded hands, eyes widened in wonder, beginning a stotra. Light beams illuminate the rocky cleft and surrounding forest.
When devotion ripens through tapas, Śiva responds tangibly—transforming the landscape itself into a revelation of the divine.
A sacred mountain in the Arbuda region where a Śiva-liṅga manifests, establishing the place as a powerful Śaiva tīrtha.
Stotra (hymnic praise) arises as the appropriate response to darśana of the manifested liṅga; the broader frame is tapas leading to divine manifestation.
