Dhanada (Kubera)
Tirtha: Arbuda-kṣetra (as narrated within Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Dhanada (Kubera-like lord of wealth) speaks in a tīrtha setting; a pilgrim offers coins or cloth into the hands of a seated Brāhmaṇa under a sacred grove/āśrama canopy; the atmosphere suggests prosperity protected by dharma.
Generosity within one’s means is upheld as a dharmic path that sustains worldly prosperity rather than diminishing it.
The verse continues the Arbuda Khaṇḍa praise of the local āśrama/tīrtha where gifts to Brāhmaṇas are said to bear amplified results.
Vitta-dāna—donating wealth to Brāhmaṇas in proportion to one’s capacity.
