पुलस्त्य उवाच । एवं स्तुता जगन्माता तानुवाच सुरोत्तमान् । वरो मे याच्यतां शीघ्रमभीष्टः सुरसत्तमाः

pulastya uvāca | evaṃ stutā jaganmātā tānuvāca surottamān | varo me yācyatāṃ śīghramabhīṣṭaḥ surasattamāḥ

Pulastya berkata: Setelah dipuji demikian, Ibu Alam Semesta bersabda kepada para dewa yang utama: “Wahai yang terunggul di antara para deva, segeralah mohon daripada-Ku anugerah yang kalian kehendaki.”
